Everything you need to know
The Travel Buddy is our most portable mat, made for the moments away from home that many dogs find hard: car journeys, vet visits and unfamiliar places. The suction cups let you fix it to a smooth surface such as a car window, so your dog has something calming to focus on. In the car, your dog should always be safely secured and positioned where they won't distract the driver.
Yes. It was designed for daily use at home. It has a moderate groove pattern which works well as a regular calming routine. Many dog owners use it at the same time each day, such as before they leave the house. That way it becomes a familiar and reassuring part of your dog's day. If your dog is on a calorie-controlled diet just remember to count whatever you spread on it as part of your dog's daily food allowance.
No, not at all. Although it is our largest mat, smaller dogs can use it too, just with a smaller portion. It has the deepest groove pattern and it holds a full meal instead of just a layer of spread. That makes it a good fit for dogs who gulp their food and for dogs who need a longer, more absorbing distraction when the world feels a bit too much.
All our lick mats are made from 100% food-grade silicone that is BPA-free and non-porous, coloured with natural pigment dyes and tested to FDA and LFGB food-contact standards. They are suitable for all breeds and ages, from puppies to seniors.
The lick mats are all dishwasher safe. You can also wash them by hand in warm, soapy water, using a soft brush to reach into the grooves, then rinse and leave to dry. We recommend washing after every use.
Our mats are designed for licking, not chewing, and they are not chew toys. Please supervise your dog the first few times they use the mat to ensue they are not chewing it.
Our nut butters contain one ingredient each: 100% peanuts or 100% cashews. There is no xylitol, salt, sugar, palm oil, stabilisers or emulsifiers. Xylitol is a sweetener found in some peanut butters and it is toxic to dogs. Because we don't add any stabilisers, the natural oil may separate in the jar. This is normal and good stir brings it back to a creamy consistency.
It depends on your dog's size. For our peanut butter, we recommend from a quarter of a teaspoon for toy breeds up to one tablespoon for giant breeds. Our cashew butter is richer, so we recommend it as an occasional treat, no more than 2 to 3 times a week. Treats of any kind should make up no more than 10% of your dog's daily calories. If your dog has a history of pancreatitis, please check with your vet first.
